Updated Version:
After the November election I want to do an updated version of America, The Most Awesomest Country in the Universe. I would research solutions proposed by the winning candidate based on their campaign speeches, websites and past history. Then, I want to use the same pro and con conversational style to discuss the effectiveness of the candidate’s solutions and the likelihood they will be implemented given budgetary and political restraints.
Expansion:
In my first edition of America, The Most Awesomest Country in the Universe I purposefully stayed away from some of the more polarizing issues in America. I would like to discuss these in a follow up edition. I originally wrote out more than 20 issues when I was brainstorming, but I decided to cut out some of the more controversial ones so I could reach the widest possible audience. In a follow up, I want to use the same conversational writing style and investigate issues such as our prison system, religion in school, abortion and gay rights.
